Project Management & On-Site Customer Representation DCG provides telecommunications organizations extremely important services required when contending with new antenna installations and projects.
Project management, quality assurance and on-site representation during installations and verification testing are two of the most important services we can offer a client who can't represent themselves on-site during the implementation phase of their project. Witnessing critical alignments, general installation practices, and antenna rf verification testing while these activities are in progress, can limit potential delays to project deadlines, as well as ensure the accuracy required for an operational antenna system. Without each end every one of these procedures carried out accurately and with results that are in specification, an antenna cannot be relied upon for optimum performance and in most cases - will not be granted licensing for transmission capability. With increasing satellite launches, co-located satellites, and constricted spacing along your geo-synchronous arc, the FCC and other international satellite agencies are placing even greater emphasis on earth station performance than ever before. Because of this, it is important to ensure accurate results when performing the commissioning of an antenna, having confidence that the performance and antenna characteristics are within specification, and any unforeseen service interruptions are avoided. We will witness and verify all RF verification testing while ensuring proper test procedures are followed and calculations are correct and accurate. While acting as a customer representative during an installation, a close eye will be placed on the smaller, sometimes overlooked details that go un-noticed until after the installation crew has left site. Our organization will act as liaison between you and the antenna manufacturer, coordinating and scheduling in your absence. Daily briefs and updates will be passed on to your Project Management office, detailing the projects progress. Once we have reviewed all data regarding the installation and commissioning results, we will either recommend antenna acceptance, or point out items that are not in compliance and will require further corrective actions. We also provide representation during in-plant and factory acceptance testing of feeds, control systems, type approval and other in-plant related activities, when your representatives cannot be present.
